Upcoming Closure for Brownlee Boulevard Project

South Brownlee Boulevard will see varying lane closures as the project enters its next construction phase.

Utility work is underway, and motorists on Brownlee Boulevard between McKenzie Street and Morgan Avenue will experience lane closures. Brownlee Boulevard between Staples Street and Ayers Street is open to traffic.

Construction is expected to continue through August.

This is part of the complete reconstruction of Brownlee Boulevard from South Staples Street to Morgan Avenue, which is expected to be completed by spring 2026.

A detailed map is attached to visually represent the road work and traffic flow adjustments.

Safety remains a top priority, and motorists traveling through this area must follow the posted detour signs to navigate the construction zone. Detours will be marked to ensure minimal disruption and maintain traffic flow.

The City of Corpus Christi is committed to projects that maintain or improve streets and infrastructure for every city resident, business, and visitor.
