Washington Coles Park Road Closures to Begin January 15

Corpus Christi, TX – Construction upgrades at Washington Coles Park are currently underway. They will necessitate temporary road closures in the area to ensure the safety of all residents, commuters, and construction workers.

The project is scheduled to start on January 15 and is expected to be completed by November.

To facilitate the construction, road closure signs and barricades will be strategically positioned. These measures are crucial for directing traffic and ensuring a smooth flow of traffic around the construction zone.

The following intersections will be closed during the construction period:

·         Winnebago Street and N. Alameda Street

·         Winnebago Street and Sam Rankin Street

·         Sam Rankin Street and Lake Street

·         Sam Rankin Street and Lobo Street

The North Beach Trailhead will remain accessible, with parking available at T.C. Ayers Park.

The plans for Washington Coles Park include a vibrant combination of recreational and community spaces. Key features will include an amphitheater for community events, a modern pavilion, vendor space, and improved lighting. Additionally, approximately 200 parking spaces will be available, inviting residents to the North Beach Trailhead.
