Watergarden Fountain Temporarily Closed for Routine Maintenance
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX — The Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation Department announces the temporary closure of the Watergarden fountain, located at 1901 N. Shoreline, for routine maintenance starting Sunday, August 10, through Friday, August 15, weather permitting. This is part of its annual preventive maintenance program.
The Watergarden fountain will be turned off to allow maintenance crews and contractors to complete essential upkeep and assessments, including power washing the entire area, completing necessary inspections, treating the lower basin with plaster, examining the lighting systems, checking all hardware, and servicing the pumps as needed.
The schedule is as follows:
· August 10: Drain water from fountain and basin
· August 11–14: Perform maintenance work and inspections
· August 15: Refill basin and restore Watergarden fountain to normal operations, weather permitting
These efforts are necessary to preserve the Watergarden fountain's long-term reliability and aesthetic appeal. If the schedule or scope of work changes, updates will be provided.
