Winnebago Street Reduced to One Lane

Sidewalk Improvements Require Lane Closure

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX. - A major sidewalk construction project has begun on Winnebago Street to improve pedestrian accessibility and safety. The project is expected to take three months to complete and will provide ease of access between the new Dr. H.J. Williams Park and the new TC Ayers Park.

As a result of this construction, traffic flow will be adjusted to one-way only on Winnebago Street, traveling from Kennedy Street to Lake Street. Road closure signs and barricades will be strategically placed for the safety of both residents and commuters.

Drivers are advised to follow detour signs and exercise caution when navigating through the area.

In preparation for this project, all local businesses along the affected stretch have been notified of the lane closure. The City is working closely with business owners to minimize disruptions to their operations during the construction period.

A detailed map is included to show the new traffic pattern.

The City of Corpus Christi is committed to projects that maintain or improve streets and infrastructure for every city resident, business, and visitor.
