Construction on Yorktown Boulevard, from Rodd Field Road to the Oso Creek Bridge, begins Wednesday, August 14. JE Construction Services of Corpus Christi is the general contractor.

In response to the recent influx of mosquitoes, the City of Corpus Christi is taking proactive measures to address the increased mosquito population. 

The City’s next Litter Critter community cleanup event will take place on Saturday, August 10, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Flour Bluff High School parking lot, located at 2505 Waldron Road.

 A City of Corpus Christi contractor will perform street maintenance on Alameda Street from Airline Road to Ennis Joslin Road beginning Wednesday, August 7. 

On Monday, August 5, Phase 1C of the Everhart Road Project will extend the current traffic control plan to the South Padre Island Drive intersection.

Beginning Monday, August 5, access to Avalon Street from Everhart Road will be closed to all traffic due to water line work. The intersection will remain closed through Friday, August 9.  

 Phase 2 of the ongoing Bond 2018 Gollihar Road project has been completed. Starting Friday, August 2, the project will transition into Phase 3, requiring significant traffic changes.  

 A City contractor will begin pedestrian improvements at the Ocean Drive and Airline Road intersection beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, July 29.

The City of Corpus Christi and the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) continue to monitor roads due to extended showers causing flooding around the North Beach area

 An AEP contractor will begin an Asset Improvement Project along Ocean Drive, spanning from Seaview Lane to Rossiter Street, starting at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 29.
