The National Weather Service forecasts that above-average temperatures and an abundance of moisture across South Texas will lead to dangerous heat index values.

 In response to the significant rain and wind damage caused by Tropical Storm Alberto, Mayor Paulette Guajardo has announced the filing of a disaster declaration with the State of Texas. 

The City continues to monitor the effects of Tropical Storm Alberto and is aware of damage to Padre Isles Property Owner’s Canals as a result of bulkhead failures.
