Most City of Corpus Christi offices, including City Hall, Municipal Court, and the Public Health District, will be closed on Thursday, July 4, in observance of the Independence Day holiday.

With the recent rainfall from tropical storm Alberto, The City of Corpus Christi will proactively begin spraying for vector control.

The National Weather Service forecasts that above-average temperatures and an abundance of moisture across South Texas will lead to dangerous heat index values on Wednesday and Thursday.

The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department is excited to announce the completion of the highly anticipated Sherwood Dog Park in central Corpus Christi, located at 4100 Linden Street. The hours of operation are Tuesday, 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Wednesday to Sunday, 6:00 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The National Weather Service forecasts a second night of below-freezing temperatures in the Corpus Christi area. The below-freezing temperatures will likely last ten to twelve hours overnight on Tuesday.

Many City of Corpus Christi offices will be closed on Monday, January 15, 2024, in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday.
