The City of Corpus Christi has received a detailed cost proposal from Corpus Christi Desal Partners (CCDP) for the design and construction of the Inner Harbor Desalination Plant, with a preliminary Guaranteed Maximum Price (pGMP) of $978,770,000.

City of Corpus Christi Announces Public Meetings and Funding Opportunities for Federally Funded Programs
The City of Corpus Christi is seeking public input on the use of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME), and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds for the City’s Fiscal Year 2027 Annual Action Plan. Funds are provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for community development, affordable housing, and homelessness. In total, about $4 million is allocated to the City each year.

AEP Asset Improvements Coming to Ocean Drive
An AEP contractor will begin infrastructure improvements in two locations along Ocean Drive beginning on February 18.
The first project is between the 4200 block of Ocean Drive and Ocean View Place and will begin on February 18.
The second project is between the 3300 block of Ocean Drive and Ocean Way Street and is scheduled to begin on February 23.

City Council Approves Brackish Water Desalination Project
Council approved a contract with FCC Aqualia USA Corp. of Katy, Texas, for the design, procurement, assembly, commissioning, and operation of a containerized brackish water desalination plant at the O.N. Stevens Water Treatment Plant (ONSWTP).

Council Approves Contract Amendments for Evangeline Groundwater Program
At today’s regularly scheduled City Council meeting, the Council approved Amendment No. 2 to the Master Services Agreement with Pape-Dawson Engineers, Inc., and Amendment No.1 to the Construction Manager-At-Risk contract with Garney Companies, Inc. for the Evangeline/San Patricio County Groundwater Program. This approval advances the City’s continued efforts to bring new groundwater supplies online as quickly as possible.

Council Approves Construction Contract for Northside Aquatic Center
Council approved an $8.7 million construction contract with South Texas Building Partners, Inc. of Corpus Christi to build the Northside Aquatic Center. The facility will be located in the Hillcrest area of District 1. This state-of-the-art facility will significantly benefit both recreational and competitive swimmers.

Council Approves Marina Fuel Station Lease Agreement
Council approved a lease agreement with Big Johnson Fuel & Lubricants, LLC. The five-year lease, with options for two additional five-year terms, will establish a full-service marine fuel station at the Coopers Alley L-Head.
