The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for the area until 9:00 p.m. tonight and from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Saturday. 

Weather conditions have led to an elevated risk of fires. The City of Corpus Christi has issued a burn ban on City beaches and parks from March 7 to March 23.
