The Comanche Street entrance at the La Retama Central Library will be closed for several months due to ongoing roadwork for the Comanche Street project.

A cold front that has moved through the region this morning with dry and colder air is expected to result in freezing temperatures overnight.

Many City of Corpus Christi offices will be closed on Monday, January 15, 2024, in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday. 

Most City of Corpus Christi offices, including City Hall, Public Libraries, Animal Care Services and Municipal Court, will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 23 and Friday, November 24. 

Corpus Christi Public Libraries was awarded $75,000 from the Institute of Museum and Library Services through a competitive Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC) grant program.

The City of Corpus Christi’s Municipal Court is bringing the Court to the Community on a Saturday, making it more accessible to those who have difficulty traveling or difficulty appearing at the main Courthouse due to work hour constraints.   

Genealogy, the study of tracing family history using historical records, online databases, and oral interviews, can help people better understand their cultural identity.
