The Corpus Christi City Council will hold a special meeting on Thursday, January 18, at 4:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority at 602 N. Staples Street in the 2nd Floor Board Room.

Many City of Corpus Christi offices will be closed on Monday, January 15, 2024, in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday. 

 The National Weather Service forecasts a strong Arctic cold front will move into the Corpus Christi area Sunday, resulting in below-freezing temperatures Monday and Tuesday night with cold wind chill values across the region through Wednesday morning.

Corpus Christi Water (CCW) will host a Xeriscape Symposium on February 3, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the American Bank Center.

The Flour Bluff Drive and Peaceful Lane intersection closure will be extended for emergency utility work.

 All City of Corpus Christi non-essential offices will be closed during the week between Christmas and New Year's. Most offices will be closed beginning Monday, December 25, 2023, and reopen on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.

A contractor will temporarily close the intersection of Flour Bluff Drive and Peaceful Lane to perform sanitary sewer installations for a private development beginning on December 18, weather permitting.

At today’s regularly scheduled City Council meeting, Mayor Paulette Guajardo and the City Council passed a critical motion to significantly enhance the City’s road infrastructure. 

Winter is right around the corner, and it’s time to prepare for colder temperatures. 

 The City of Corpus Christi Development Services Department will hold a series of community input sessions on their draft master plans, including roadways, water, wastewater, and storm water.
