At today’s Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Commissioners meeting in Austin, the TCEQ unanimously voted to approve the City of Corpus Christi's water right permit for a seawater desalination plant that would draw water from the La Quinta Channel.

The City of Corpus Christi, including Corpus Christi Water and Councilmembers, is not affiliated with an upcoming District 1 Desal Townhall hosted and sponsored by Texas Campaign on the Environment (TCE).
