Emergency Operations Center (EOC)

The City’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC), in coordination with the National Weather Service, is watching an area of thunderstorms in the southern Bay of Campeche. This disturbance should move inland over northeastern Mexico or South Texas this afternoon or evening.

El Centro de Operaciones de Emergencia (COE) de la Ciudad, en coordinación con el Servicio Meteorológico Nacional, está vigilando una zona de tormentas eléctricas en el sur de la Bahía de Campeche. Esta perturbación debería avanzar tierra adentro sobre el noreste de México o el sur de Texas esta tarde o noche.

The City’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC), in coordination with the National Weather Service, is watching an area of thunderstorms in the southern Bay of Campeche, which has the potential to develop into a Tropical Depression or a weak Tropical Storm before moving inland near the southern Coastal Bend Friday evening.

The Corpus Christi Public Works Department will offer residents free pre-filled sandbags at two upcoming events.

In response to the extreme temperatures, the City of Corpus Christi is making several facilities available to the public during regular business hours to keep cool.

The City of Corpus Christi encourages residents who need a cool place to visit City Libraries and Senior Centers as a cooling center during their regular operating hours.
