The intersection of Elizabeth Street and Santa Fe Street will be closed from 6:00 p.m. today through 10:00 a.m. tomorrow, November 6, as part of the ongoing Elizabeth Street reconstruction project.

Construction on South Brownlee Boulevard, from South Staples Street to Morgan Avenue, begins Wednesday, October 30. Gerke Excavating, Inc. of Tomah, WI, is the general contractor. 

 At today’s regularly scheduled City Council meeting, Mayor Paulette Guajardo and the City Council awarded a $12.2 million contract to H&S Constructors, Inc., of Corpus Christi, for improvements to the Mary Rhodes Pipeline.
