Los cierres de carriles este fin de semana marcarán el comienzo de una nueva alineación de tráfico permanente asociada con el Proyecto Harbor Bridge, que mejorará el flujo de tráfico para los automovilistas que viajan por la I-37, US 181 y SH 286.

Lane closures this weekend will usher in a new, permanent traffic alignment associated with the Harbor Bridge Project, which will improve traffic flow for motorists traveling on I-37, US 181, and SH 286.

 At Tuesday’s regularly scheduled council meeting, Mayor Paulette Guajardo and the City Council approved a resolution for the Corpus Christi Fire Department (CCFD) to apply for a grant provided by the Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

Beginning Tuesday, April 9, a City contractor will perform northbound and southbound lane closures at the intersection of Ocean Drive and Airline Road to pour foundations for new traffic signals.

On Monday, April 8, residents can witness a total solar eclipse. During this event, the moon is positioned close enough to Earth to completely block the sun, resulting in the visibility of only the sun’s corona or outer atmosphere.

On March 6, the Nueces County Commissioners Court voted unanimously to delay the date of their termination of buying services from the Corpus Christi – Nueces County Public Health District from April 1 to September 30. 

Beginning Tuesday, March 5, the City will temporarily close the Everhart Road entrance and exit of South Padre Island Drive to conduct vegetation maintenance and debris removal along the frontage road.
