The City Council voted to adopt a new ordinance prohibiting the crossing of buoy markers at Choke Canyon Reservoir. The ordinance is intended to enhance public safety and protect critical dam infrastructure.

On Saturday, April 5, an AEP Texas transmission line that powers the O.N. Stevens Water Treatment Plant failed, temporarily causing a loss of water pressure in the Calallen area. The staff at the water treatment plant were able to switch to a secondary line within minutes.
