City Council Receives Briefing on Water Reuse Partnership Opportunity
At today's regularly scheduled City Council meeting, Mayor Paulette Guajardo and the Council received a briefing on a potential water reuse partnership that could add 11 to 16 million gallons of water per day to the City’s current portfolio. Gulf Coast Authority (GCA) and engineering firm, Ardurra, presented a proposal to develop reclaimed water from the City’s Oso and Greenwood wastewater treatment plants. Reclaimed water is treated wastewater that has been cleansed to meet safety standards for reuse.
