 Due to recent rainfall from tropical storm Alberto and increased mosquito population, the City of Corpus Christi has ramped up its mosquito control efforts.

With the recent rainfall from tropical storm Alberto, The City of Corpus Christi will proactively begin spraying for vector control. 

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) reports a light plume of Saharan dust may begin to arrive as early as Monday over portions of the lower Coastal Bend, enhancing the concentration of inhalable particles.

Most City of Corpus Christi offices, including City Hall, Public Libraries, Municipal Court and the Public Health District will be closed Wednesday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth.

With the recent rainfall over the weekend, The City of Corpus Christi has proactively initiated a mosquito spraying schedule for this week.

Two major rating agencies, Standard and Poor’s Global Ratings and Fitch, reaffirmed the City of Corpus Christi’s general obligation bond and utility revenue bond ratings, all with a stable outlook.

  The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality report that the Coastal Bend is expected to experience elevated Particle Matter (PM) levels throughout today and into Tuesday. 

The Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District’s Mobile Clinic will be at the Nueces County Community Action Service Center on Wednesday, March 27, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
