  • Elizabeth Street Completed

    Elizabeth Street between South Staples Street and Santa Fe Street is now fully open to the public. The $2.4 million project began in September 2024. This critical section of road provides access to Christus Spohn Hospital. 

  • Traffic Switch on Alameda Street Upcoming

    On Friday, May 9, traffic on Alameda Street will switch to the southbound lanes from Louisiana Avenue to Texan Trail while the northbound lanes will be closed for roadwork. This phase of the project is expected to remain in effect through October.

  • Updated Closures on Nueces Bay Boulevard

    Nueces Bay Boulevard will be closed between Up River Road and Leopard Street beginning Monday, May 5. This closure is part of ongoing improvements to water lines along this section and is expected to last through Monday, June 9.

    In preparation for predicted rain, the Public Works Department will patrol City streets to address hazards such as potholes and flooding. City officials are asking residents to help report these hazards using the City's 3-1-1 system.
