Biography of Nick Winkelmann

Nick Winkelmann, P.E. was appointed as Interim Chief Operating Officer of Corpus Christi Water, effective September 4, 2025. Nick joined the City in July 2021 as Planning and Engineering Manager for CCW. In September 2023, he was appointed as Assistant Director of Planning and Infrastructure for CCW, where he successfully managed the development and adoption of the City's new Water and Wastewater Master Plan. Prior to joining the City, Nick worked for 24 years in the private water sector. Nick holds a Bachelor of Science in Geological Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology, a Master of Public Administration from Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi, and a Master of Business Administration from Aurora University. He holds his Professional Engineer License in Civil Engineering and is registered in both Illinois and Texas.
