Self-Service Records

The City makes available a variety of public records available online for quick access at no cost to the public.  These free self-service records are listed below by department.  Please review the types of records available to see if what you need is available before submitting a Public Information Request form, which is available at the end of this page.

  • Financial transparency reports – operating & capital budgets, check registers, single audits, annual financial report, and many other financial reports
  • Supplier Portal – search for open bid opportunities for goods and services and forecasted procurements
  • Construction Projects & CivCast Portal – information for construction contractors and link to CivCast Portal to search current construction projects and their associated documents, including bid tabs and award notifications. Users must create a free account to search for information.

  • Open Data Portal hosts various types of Geographic Information System (GIS) datasets about the city, including boundaries, utilities, gas services, public safety, parks, transportation, public services, and more

Public Information Requests

The Texas Public Information Act (Texas Government Code, Chapter 552), gives you the right to access government records. 

All government information is presumed to be available to the public, although certain exceptions may apply. Governmental bodies shall release requested information as promptly as possible unless the information is exempt from disclosure under the Public Information Act.

To request a record or document from the City of Corpus Christi that is not available online, first select the type of request.

Please use the General Request Form linked below to request a record or document from the City of Corpus Christi that is not available online. Please note that requests for the Police Department, Animal Care Services, or the Fire Department require different department forms.

About Us

The City Secretary is the local official who maintains the integrity of the election process, ensures transparency and access to city records, facilitates the legislative process, and is the recorder of local history. The City Secretary acts as the compliance officer for federal, state, and local statutes, including the Open Meetings Act and the Public Information Act, and serves as the filing authority for campaign finance reports and financial disclosure statements.
