Recycle - Metal items can potentially be taken to a local scrap metal dealer. Be sure to call ahead to ensure that you are following all procedures to prevent anyone from being hurt.

-Place needles and syringes in a hard plastic or metal container with a tightly secured lid. (The container should be labeled “Syringes,” “Sharps,” or “Needles.”)

-Dispose of the sealed container in the household trash or bring the container to the JC Elliott Transfer station located at 7001 Ayers, open Monday-Saturday 8am to 5pm.

Bulky items are accepted at curbside twice a year in spring and fall during specified collection times. A fee of $5.50 per tire will be charged for any tire(s) set out for collection along with the heavy brush. During the bulky item schedules, up to four tires will be picked up free of charge.

J.C. Elliott Transfer Station accepts up to four tires (20 inches or less) free of charge. Large tires are subject to a fee.
