Intersection Closure for Brownlee Boulevard Project
The Brownlee Boulevard and Ayers Street intersection will be closed from Saturday, May 3 to Saturday, May 17 as part of the ongoing Brownlee Boulevard reconstruction project.
This work will allow the contractor to connect the 42-inch storm sewer system with improved piping and infrastructure, significantly improving drainage in the area.

City Accepts Funding for Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements
During today’s regularly scheduled City Council meeting, Mayor Paulette Guajardo and the City Council approved the acceptance of $15,092,700 from the Texas General Land Office’s Community Development Block Grants for Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) program. The funding will support improvements at the Greenwood and Oso Wastewater Treatment Plants. The grant does not require a City match.

Work Set to Begin on Whitecap Boulevard Bridge and Gypsy Street Bridge
Beginning Monday, April 28, crews will begin work on two bridges on North Padre Island. The projects include improvements to the Whitecap Boulevard bridge near Cruiser Street and the Gypsy Street bridge near Bounty Avenue. Construction will require varying lane closures.

Road Closures Planned Overnight for Horne Road at Port Avenue
Roadwork in the area of Horne Road at Port Avenue continues with planned nighttime closures of the intersection. Beginning Wednesday, April 23, the southbound lanes of Horne Road and a section of Port Avenue will close between 8:00 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.

Lane Closures on Everhart Road for Pavement Work
Crews will soon begin repaving work on Everhart Road between Saratoga Boulevard and Holly Road as part of the Street Preventative Maintenance Program. Beginning Monday, April 28, varying lanes will be closed. The first phase will be between Saratoga Boulevard and Wooldridge Road. Next, the section between Wooldridge Road and Holly Road will be done.

Lane Closures on McArdle Road at Kostoryz Road
Roadwork on McArdle Road between Kostoryz Road and Carroll Lane will begin Thursday, April 17, with a one-day closure of the intersection at McArdle Road and Carroll Lane. Following that work, the eastbound lanes will be closed to traffic on McArdle Road between Kostoryz Road and Hakel Drive.

City Accepts Funding for Holly Road Train Trestle Trail
During today’s regularly scheduled City Council meeting, Mayor Paulette Guajardo and the City Council approved funding agreements with the Texas Department of Transportation for the Holly Road Train Trestle to Tourism Trail Project.
The project will build a shared-use path along Flour Bluff Drive and a pedestrian bridge across Oso Bay using existing pilings from an abandoned train trestle bridge.

This event has been postponed and will be rescheduled for a later date.

Timbergate Drive Reconstruction Now Underway
The City of Corpus Christi has started street reconstruction work on Timbergate Drive between South Staples Street and Snowgoose Drive, as part of a voter-approved project from Bond 2022. Beginning Monday, April 14, Timbergate Drive between South Staples Street to Snowgoose Drive will be one-way westbound. Roadway closures are in effect for the eastbound lanes.

Cole Park Pier Plaza Improvements Set to Begin April 15
The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department will close the Cole Park Pier Plaza at 2030 Ocean Drive for shade structure installation beginning on Tuesday, April 15. The improvements are scheduled for completion in the late summer, weather permitting.
