Visitors to the facilities at West Guth Park, including the Northwest Senior Center and West Guth Skate Park, should be aware of a temporary detour in access due to road construction on the property.

At today’s regularly scheduled City Council meeting, Mayor Paulette Guajardo and the City Council awarded a $4,025,000 contract to Central Air and Heating Service, LLC, located in Harlingen, TX, for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) improvements at the American Bank Center Arena, Funding

 As some sections are completed, progress on the Everhart Road Project will involve significant traffic control changes starting Monday, February 17.

Beginning Thursday, February 13, the westbound lane of Up River Road will be closed east of Southern Minerals Road to Goldston Road for a water line construction project.

On Friday, February 7, the Alameda Street Project transitions to a new construction phase. 

On Thursday, February 6, all lanes of South Alameda Street will be closed between Chamberlain Street and Hoffman Street from 2:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Beginning Monday, February 3, at 9:00 p.m., the Harbor Bridge Project will close the northbound SH 286 connections to US 181, the Bayfront area, and Antelope Street to the Uptown area.

Beginning Monday, February 3, one northbound lane of South Alameda Street will be closed at the intersection of Everhart Road for utility line work. Northbound traffic will be reduced to one lane. 

An AEP contractor will commence infrastructure improvements on Ocean Drive beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, February 3

Beginning Wednesday, January 29, repaving work will commence on Woolridge Road from South Staples Street to Dewberry Drive as part of the Street Preventative Maintenance Program (SPMP).
