With the recent rainfall, The City of Corpus Christi has proactively initiated a mosquito spraying schedule for this week.

The National Weather Service forecasts that above-average temperatures and an abundance of moisture across South Texas will lead to dangerous heat index values on Thursday.

 On Tuesday, May 7, a private sector contractor working in the Commodores Bridge area of North Padre Island struck a Corpus Christi Water bypass water line, causing a water line break and reducing pressure on certain portions of the Island. 

  A Texas Department of Transportation contractor is scheduled to seal coat the southern section of Park Road 22 beginning at about noon Wednesday.

This afternoon, a private sector contractor working in the Commodores Bridge area of North Padre Island struck a Corpus Christi Water bypass water line, causing a water line break and loss of pressure on certain portions of the Island.

The City’s next Litter Critter community cleanup event will take place on Saturday, May 11, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial High School parking lot, located at 3750 Cimarron Boulevard.
