The City of Corpus Christi held a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the start of construction for a new police substation at West Guth Park. The substation will allow residents to connect with law enforcement and officers to remain close to the community they serve.

The City of Corpus Christi is aware of recent statements in the local media suggesting that City staff was not transparent regarding far-field modeling for the Inner Harbor Water Treatment Campus project. These statements are primarily the result of a misinterpretation about highly complex water issues, technical projects, and the consideration of multiple far field modeling studies. 

The Landmark Commission is accepting nominations for its Annual Preservation Awards. The submission deadline is April 14.

At yesterday’s regularly scheduled City Council meeting, Mayor Paulette Guajardo and the Council approved $5.2 million for grants to address homelessness and for park improvements.

In preparation for predicted rain, the Public Works Department will patrol City streets to address hazards such as potholes and flooding. City officials are asking residents to help report these hazards using the City's 3-1-1 system.

Corpus Christi Water (CCW) is informing residents that the Mary Rhodes Pipeline (MRP) was temporarily shut off Monday as part of planned system adjustments in order to increase the amount of water pulled from the pipeline.
