Corpus Christi Water is providing an update regarding the taste and odor concerns recently reported by some customers in their tap water.
Compounds associated with taste and odor were no longer detected in the source water of ONSWTP. The organic compounds are moving through the distribution system, and residents may continue to notice them at home until the water has fully cleared.
Corpus Christi Water (CCW) has detected a leak on the Mary Rhodes Pipeline (MRP) near Highways 77 and 239, south of the San Antonio River. The leak is approximately halfway along the 101-mile pipeline, which carries water from Lake Texana to the O.N. Stevens Water Treatment Plant (ONSWTP).
