The City of Corpus Christi will participate in a statewide drill of public warning systems on Thursday, April 2, in coordination with the Texas Division of Emergency Management.
The City of Corpus Christi’s Animal Care Services (CCACS) is partnering with local attorney J. Barrera to help shelter animals find their forever homes. Starting Wednesday, April 1, J. Barrera Law will generously cover the adoption fees for up to 40 dogs and cats each month at CCACS.

At today’s regularly scheduled City Council meeting, the Council awarded a $205,000 construction contract to McDonald Municipal & Industrial, based in Houston, for the Ben Garza Gymnasium Generator Project. For National Nutrition Month, the library system has introduced three custom kitchen supply carts, a specialized culinary station, and a hygiene cart, all funded by the Friends of Corpus Christi Public Libraries.
