Council Re-appoints Municipal Court Judge for Another Term
City Council approved the re-appointment of Jacqueline Del Llano Chapa as Presiding Judge for a two-year term beginning August 1. The council also approved appointing Carlos Omar Reyna as part-time judge for an unexpired term from June 24, 2025, through June 24, 2027.

City Council Approves First Reading of FY 2027 Water and Wastewater Rates
At today’s regularly scheduled City Council meeting, the Council approved first reading ordinances adopting updated water and wastewater rates across all customer classes. The proposed rates will take effect January 1, 2027.

The City of Corpus Christi and its Office of Emergency Management are actively monitoring a Tropical Depression in the northeast Gulf. They will continue to track the weather situation throughout the coming days. The depression is expected to strengthen to a Tropical Storm tonight.

Corpus Christi Water (CCW) presentó ante el Concejo Municipal su segundo y último taller sobre los ajustes propuestos a las tarifas de agua y aguas residuales para el año fiscal 2027.
De aprobarse, la nueva estructura tarifaria entrará en vigor el 1 de enero de 2027 y se aplicará a todas las categorías de clientes, incluidos los usuarios residenciales, comerciales, mayoristas y de gran volumen.
