The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for its residents through a range of major improvement projects throughout the city.

H-E-B, the City of Corpus Christi, and Visit Corpus Christi will announce support for various museums and attractions throughout the Gulf Coast. H-E-B is a long-time partner to these organizations and remains committed to enhancing programming and accessibility for families.

At today’s regularly scheduled City Council meeting, Mayor Paulette Guajardo and Council awarded a $3.4 million construction contract to Weaver & Jacob Constructors, Inc., based in Cuero, Texas, for Phase 1 of the Commodore Park Improvements project.

The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department advises residents of the extended temporary closure of the Cole Skate Park, located at 2030 Ocean Drive, for concrete repairs to continue this weekend through Tuesday, September 30, weather permitting. The extended closure is due to weather delays.

At today’s regularly scheduled City Council meeting, Mayor Paulette Guajardo and Council awarded a construction contract to JE Construction Services of Corpus Christi for the Harbor Bridge Parks Mitigation Improvement Project, which includes significant upgrades to several key parks and trails in the city.
