The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department has taken proactive measures in response to the Stage 3 drought by implementing conservation strategies to support over 200 recently planted trees, which require ongoing irrigation for optimal growth. In exploring water-efficient solutions, staff identified using Tree T-Pees as a practical option. 

During today’s regularly scheduled City Council meeting, Mayor Paulette Guajardo and the City Council approved $75,904 for additional lighting at Swantner Park to improve visibility and safety at the popular bayfront location.

The Port of Corpus Christi (Port) has submitted two rezoning applications for sites located in the Northside area, adjacent to the Washington-Coles and Hillcrest neighborhoods.
