The City of Corpus Christi’s Arts & Cultural Commission (ACC) announces an Open Call for the 2026 Arts Grant Program applications. This grant funds cultural events by local organizations that attract visitors to Corpus Christi. The program offers matching grants of up to $15,000.

The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department advises residents of the extended temporary closure of the Cole Skate Park, located at 2030 Ocean Drive, for concrete repairs to continue this weekend through Tuesday, September 30, weather permitting. The extended closure is due to weather delays.  

The Corpus Christi Police Department (CCPD) invites residents to participate in the 42nd annual National Night Out (NNO) on Tuesday, October 7.

The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department advises residents of the temporary closure of the Cole Skate Park, located at 2030 Ocean Drive, for concrete repairs to begin on Monday, September 22. The improvements are scheduled for completion on September 26, weather permitting. 

The Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation Department announces the temporary closure of the Islander Pavilion at McCaughn Park, located at 402 S. Shoreline Boulevard, for lighting improvements.

At today’s regularly scheduled City Council meeting, Mayor Paulette Guajardo and Council awarded a construction contract to JE Construction Services of Corpus Christi for the Harbor Bridge Parks Mitigation Improvement Project, which includes significant upgrades to several key parks and trails in the city.

City Council approved an agreement to partner with The Boston Group, LLC (TBG) to improve Wranosky Park, located at 422 Graham Road.

The Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation Department announces the temporary closure of the Watergarden fountain, located at 1901 N. Shoreline, for routine maintenance starting Sunday, August 10, through Friday, August 15, weather permitting.

The Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation Department, in collaboration with the Corpus Christi Independent School District (CCISD), announces the temporary closure of the Corpus Christi Natatorium, located at 3202 Cabaniss Parkway, for the month of August.

Calvary First Baptist Church, in collaboration with the Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation Department, will host a dedication of the newly constructed pavilion at the Dr. H.C. Dilworth Park, located at 3000 Elgin Street.
