City To Seek Federal Grant to Adequately Staff Fire Department
At today’s regularly scheduled City Council meeting, Mayor Paulette Guajardo and the Council approved a resolution to seek a $4 million grant from the Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for salaries and benefits for 15 additional firefighters for the Corpus Christi Fire Department's (CCFD) four-person staffing plan over a three-year period.

Corpus Christi Fire Department 46th Fire Academy Graduation
23 cadets from the Corpus Christi Fire Department’s 46th Fire Academy will receive their official firefighter/paramedic badge during a graduation ceremony on Friday, May 23, at 3:00 p.m. at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Performing Arts Center, 6300 Ocean Drive, Corpus Christi, Texas.
