The City of Corpus Christi informs residents of a service disruption caused by a global outage of CrowdStrike. 

The City Secretary reminds the community that the filing period to apply for candidacy in the upcoming mayoral or council member elections begins on Monday, July 22, 2024.

The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department will close the Salinas Park playground at 1354 Airport Road for improvements beginning Thursday, July 18. Weather permitting, the playground is scheduled to reopen on November 15.

The Corpus Christi Vector Control program is notifying the public of the detection of West Nile Virus in three different mosquito pools collected on July 10, outside of the city limits at:

Beginning Friday, July 19, the eastbound lane of Aquarius Street, from Dasmarinas Drive to Commodores Drive, will be temporarily closed on Tuesdays and Fridays between 6 a.m. and noon. This closure will continue until August 19 as part of a public improvement project.

The interactive Bayfront Park Fountain, located at 1309 North Shoreline Boulevard, has been temporarily closed for repairs. The public will be notified when the repairs are completed, and the fountain reopens.

A private contractor will temporarily close the northbound lane of Ocean Drive from Hewit Drive to Ocean Park Drive beginning Thursday morning. 

Beginning Thursday, July 18, Phase 1C of the Everhart Road Project will extend the current Traffic Control Plan (TCP) from Burney Drive to the intersection at McArdle Road.
