City To Seek Federal Grant to Adequately Staff Fire Department
At today’s regularly scheduled City Council meeting, Mayor Paulette Guajardo and the Council approved a resolution to seek a $4 million grant from the Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for salaries and benefits for 15 additional firefighters for the Corpus Christi Fire Department's (CCFD) four-person staffing plan over a three-year period.

Study Could Determine City’s Needs for Housing and Efficiency
At today’s regularly scheduled City Council meeting, the Planning and Development Department presented a proposed Housing Needs Assessment and Toolkit to the Mayor and Council. This initiative will be included in the Corpus Christi Housing Finance Corporation (CCHFC) 's FY 2026 budget.
