The City of Corpus Christi will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the opening of the state-of-the-art Fire Station #3. The new building replaces the 67-year-old, now former, station #3, one of the city's busiest stations.

A contractor for the City will temporarily close the northwest corner of Staples Street and McArdle Road beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 11.

At today’s regularly scheduled city council meeting, the Mayor and Council approved a series of items for the Police and Fire Departments.

The City’s next Litter Critter community cleanup event will take place on Saturday, June 14, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the W.B. Ray High School parking lot, located at 1002 Texan Trail.

The 3rd Annual Endurance Fest will be held this weekend at McCaughn Park, 402 S. Shoreline, with over 1,000 athletes participating. 

Roadwork continues on Flato Road, requiring lane closures between Bates Road and Bear Lane. 

In response to the extreme temperatures, the City of Corpus Christi is making several facilities available to the public during regular business hours to keep cool.  

The Corpus Christi Public Works Department will offer residents free pre-filled sandbags at two upcoming events.

Roadwork on Nueces Bay Boulevard between Up River Road and Leopard Street continues, with lane closures expected through July.

Vector Control is actively working to manage mosquito populations across the city.
