CCGAS to Purchase Rockport Natural Gas Utility System Assets
At today’s regularly scheduled City Council meeting, Mayor Paulette Guajardo and the City Council authorized a sales agreement with the City of Rockport to purchase the assets of the City of Rockport Natural Gas Utility System. Funding for the $5.5 million purchase comes from the 2025 Utility System Revenue Bond.

City Council Approves $100.6 Million Safety Upgrade to O.N. Stevens Water Treatment Plant
At today’s scheduled City Council meeting, Mayor Paulette Guajardo and the City Council approved a $100.6 million construction contract with Reytec Construction Resources, Inc. of Houston to replace the aging chlorine gas system at O.N. Stevens Water Treatment Plant (ONSWTP) with a safer on-site chlorine generation system.

Janet F. Harte Public Library Announces Operating Hours Adjustment to Enhance Student Safety on School Campus
To enhance student safety and comply with the safety and security requirements established by the Texas Education Code 61.1031, the Flour Bluff Independent School District (FBISD) and the City of Corpus Christi have mutually agreed that the City adjust the operating hours of the Janet F. Harte Library during regular school hours and the summer school session. The Harte Library is located on the Flour Bluff High School campus at 2629 Waldron Road in City Council District 4. It serves FBISD students during school hours and city library patrons as well, in the same location.

Public Health District Offers No-Cost Back-to-School Vaccine Clinic
The Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District is excited to announce a No-Cost Back-to-School Vaccine Clinic with extended hours on Monday, August 4, from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The clinic, which is located at 1702 Horne Road, is being offered to help families prepare for the upcoming school year.
