On Monday, April 8, residents can witness a total solar eclipse. During this event, the moon is positioned close enough to Earth to completely block the sun, resulting in the visibility of only the sun’s corona or outer atmosphere.  

The City of Corpus Christi invites the community to the completion ceremony of the Packery Channel Restoration, Dredging and Beach Nourishment Projects, celebrating a major milestone in Corpus Christi’s coastal restoration, resilience, and improvement. 

 Beginning Tuesday, April 2, the City of Corpus Christi will temporarily close the Weber Road entrance and exit ramps along South Padre Island Drive to conduct vegetation maintenance and debris removal along the frontage road.

It is that time of year again! Historic Preservation Month is just around the corner, and the City invites residents to participate in the celebration through an art contest. 

At today’s Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Commissioners meeting in Austin, the TCEQ unanimously voted to approve the City of Corpus Christi's water right permit for a seawater desalination plant that would draw water from the La Quinta Channel.

Beginning on Tuesday, March 26, City Council and Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ) meetings will return to the first floor Council Chambers at City Hall, located at 1201 Leopard Street.  

 The City of Corpus Christi will install weigh-in-motion sensors on Ocean Drive between Baycliff Drive and Born Street on March 26 and March 27. 

The Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District’s Mobile Clinic will be at the Nueces County Community Action Service Center on Wednesday, March 27, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews have two projects scheduled next week that will require lane closures. All work is weather permitting and subject to change.
