The National Weather Service forecasts that above-average temperatures and an abundance of moisture across South Texas will lead to dangerous heat index values into next week.

 At today’s regularly scheduled City Council meeting, Mayor Paulette Guajardo and the Council approved a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) between the City and the Corpus Christi Professional Firefighters Association (CCPFA).

The City of Corpus Christi and the Corpus Christi Professional Firefighters Association have reached a new four-year Collective Bargaining Agreement. City and Firefighters Association officials will sign the agreement at Tuesday's City Council meeting immediately following a Council vote on the agreement.

At 7:00 a.m. on Monday, August 12, an AEP contractor will begin making repairs to damaged streetlights on Ocean Drive between Doddridge Street and Ropes Street.
