Daniel McGinn serves the City of Corpus Christi as the Interim City Manager for Planning and Community Development, Airport, and Information Technology. He is a seasoned professional in municipal planning and development. Since starting with the City of Corpus Christi in 2005, he has held positions as City Planner, Project Manager, Land Development Manager, Interim Director of Development Services, and Assistant Director of the Planning Department.
Aside from his career with the City of Corpus Christi, Mr. McGinn has worked in Community and Economic Development for the City of Hudson, Ohio, as Deputy Director of Development Services in Victoria, and as the City of Sachse’s Director of Community Development.
Mr. McGinn is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Planning Association (APA), American Institute of Certified Planners, and Texas APA. His education includes a Master's Degree in Urban Planning from the University of Akron, a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from Rowan University, and other educational accomplishments, including a Leadership Development Certification through the University of Virginia and the City’s Career Development Program.
