Surrender Your Pet

We can only accept surrenders for residents of the City of Corpus Christi. Surrender appointments are currently being scheduled 3-4 weeks out. We will accommodate any emergencies as best we can.

If you have explored all other options and are still unable to keep your pet, then surrendering your pet may be the next option to explore. At ACS, we understand the weight of this choice, and we are here to provide you with resources that may help you keep your pet at home. If you are considering surrendering a pet, explore the following resources for support and assistance.

Social Media Platforms

Post on your social media platforms and ask friends to share your posts to reach more potential adopters.  Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Craigslist, and Nextdoor can all be effective places to find someone willing to adopt your pet.

Submit a Profile to Home-to-Home

The Home-to-Home program allows pet owners the opportunity to find new homes, reducing stress on the animal and relieving overcrowding at local shelters.

Moving?

If you are moving to a different city, reach out to their local humane society or animal welfare organization to learn about their surrender program or rehoming tips in that area.
