Elizabeth Street Traffic Shift
Starting today, traffic on Elizabeth Street will shift to the eastbound lanes from South Staples Street to Santa Fe Street as crews continue work on the roadway. One-way traffic on Elizabeth Street is allowed with a detour on Morgan Avenue. This will be in effect through Monday, April 14.

At today’s regularly scheduled City Council meeting, Mayor Paulette Guajardo and the City Council authorized an Untreated Raw Water Purchase Contract with Formosa Plastics Corporation. The contract will provide the City with a supplemental water source during Drought Status: Stage 3.

On Saturday, April 5, an AEP Texas transmission line that powers the O.N. Stevens Water Treatment Plant failed, temporarily causing a loss of water pressure in the Calallen area. The staff at the water treatment plant were able to switch to a secondary line within minutes.
