Vector Control is nearing the end of mosquito season. As the year wraps up, Vector Control is reducing its spraying activities and applying larvicide to remaining stagnant or standing water. This proactive measure will prevent lingering mosquito larvae from maturing into adult mosquitoes.

 At today’s regularly scheduled City Council meeting, Mayor Paulette Guajardo and the City Council awarded a $12.2 million contract to H&S Constructors, Inc., of Corpus Christi, for improvements to the Mary Rhodes Pipeline.

Beginning the evening of Wednesday, October 23, repaving work will commence on Morgan Avenue from Crosstown Expressway to South Port Avenue as part of the Street Preventative Maintenance Program (SPMP).

Significant improvements have been made to the North Beach area in the last five years

At today’s regularly scheduled meetings of the Corpus Christi Business and Job Development Corporation-Type A and Corpus Christi B Corporation-Type B Boards, new officers were elected for terms beginning October 1, 2024, and ending September 30, 2025.

On Saturday, October 19, Phase 1 of the Alameda Street Project will continue with a new traffic control plan.

The new restrooms at the Anita & W.T. Neyland Public Library, located at 1230 Carmel Parkway in Council District 2, will reopen on Monday, October 28. 

The Peoples Street Boardwalk replacement project will begin Monday, October 21.

On Monday, October 21, repaving work will begin on Airline Road from McArdle Road to Ocean Drive as part of the Street Preventative Maintenance Program (SPMP).

Vector Control continues efforts to reduce and control the mosquito population.
