Become a Rescue Partner
Rescue groups are an important part of our team! By building strong connections with local, regional, and national animal welfare organizations, we can help find loving homes for our shelter pets.
We are always looking to expand our network of partners. If you represent a 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization and would like to help by rescuing pets from our shelter, we would love to hear from you!
Our team supports our Rescue Partners by providing age-appropriate vaccinations and microchips for the animals before they are transferred, at no financial cost to your rescue.
How to Apply
Please have the items listed below ready when you start an application:
- IRS letter confirming 501(c)(3) status
- Adoption standards and contract
Email completed application to and all required documents to ccacsrescues@cctexas.com.
Local Animal Rescue Partners
Like many municipal animal care facilities, CCACS humanely euthanizes animals that are not suitable for adoption and those that have been in the shelter for a longer period of time. For this reason, it is important that individuals looking to surrender their pet or bring in strays, also consider other shelters in the area. Below is a list of local, no-kill shelters for residents to consider.
County Animal Control
Corpus Christi Animal Care Services regularly coordinates with Nueces County Animal Control. Nueces County Animal Control provides some services not offered at CCACS, such as the rental of small and large traps.
