  • Poth Lane Road Closure for Water Line Installation

    Beginning on Monday, February 2, and continuing for two months, Poth Lane will be closed to all traffic between Gibson Street and Buddy Lawrence Drive.

  • Temporary Closure on Everhart Road

    Due to the recent freezing temperatures, the scheduled closure of the southbound lanes of Everhart Road from Staples Street to Whataburger Way has been rescheduled to begin on Thursday, January 29, from 12:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. This closure is necessary to facilitate repairs to an area on the concrete surface, ensuring the road remains safe and in good condition for all users.

  • Temporary Closure on Everhart Road

    The southbound lanes of Everhart Road from Staples Street to Whataburger Way will be temporarily closed on Tuesday, January 27, from 12:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. 

  • Lane on Commodores Drive Closed for Utility Improvement

    Construction crews will close a section of Commodores Drive at Aquarius Street for utility improvements beginning Monday, January 26. The inside lanes will be closed through Friday, March 27. Access to neighborhoods will remain available during construction.

  • Final Section of Alameda Street Project Closed for Paving Work

    Construction crews will close a section of Alameda Street near Louisiana Avenue for paving work beginning Thursday, January 22. The southbound lanes of Alameda Street from Louisiana Avenue to before Texas Avenue will be closed through Monday, February 23. Access to neighborhoods will remain available during construction.

About Us

The mission of the Engineering Services Department is to assist City departments in support of new projects and to maintain existing infrastructure through cost-effective execution of the Capital Improvement Program and technical support. We also inspect public infrastructure in new private developments.
