Latest News

  • Starlite Lane Closure Scheduled to Begin This Week

    Beginning Friday, July 31, Starlite Lane will be closed from Sunny Drive through Kingwood Drive. Neighborhoods and businesses will remain accessible during construction. This section will remain closed through January.

  • Intersection Closure Added to Yorktown Boulevard Construction

    Beginning Wednesday, July 29, ongoing work will require an additional closure of Rancho Vista Boulevard at the Yorktown Boulevard intersection. This is in addition to ongoing construction that has closed the eastbound lanes from Rodd Field Road to Oso Creek Mud Bridge. Two-way travel is allowed on the remaining westbound lanes. 

  • Carroll Lane Reconstruction Begins Next Week

    Construction crews will start work on the full reconstruction of Carroll Lane from South Padre Island Drive to Holly Road. This will require closure of the southbound section of the roadway. Traffic will be one-way northbound. Neighborhoods and businesses will remain accessible during construction.

  • Roadwork Planned on Hearn Road near O.N. Stevens Water Treatment Plant

    Crews will close a section of Hearn Road near O.N. Stevens Water Treatment Plant for roadwork beginning Monday, July 20.

  • Continued Street Maintenance Improvements Planned for Lipan Street

    The City of Corpus Christi  will perform street maintenance on Lipan Street near City Hall between Sam Rankin Street and North Staples Street on Monday, July 6.

About Us

The mission of the Engineering Services Department is to assist City departments in support of new projects and to maintain existing infrastructure through cost-effective execution of the Capital Improvement Program and technical support. We also inspect public infrastructure in new private developments.
