Neighborhood Fitness
The Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District (CC-NCPHD), in partnership with the Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department, has expanded its popular Neighborhood Fitness series, with more scheduled for the coming year. Each event includes free and accessible health and fitness activities, including a run/walk, Zumba, and yoga.
Community CPR Classes
The Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District (CC-NCPHD) is offering free CPR/First Aid/AED classes and American Red Cross certifications for the community. Learn the necessary skills to save and support lives! Spots are limited and registration is required.
Swimming Lessons
The Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District (CC-NCPHD) is committed to reducing accidental drownings and improving the health and safety of our community. In partnership with Parks & Recreation and the YMCA of the Coastal Bend, swimming lessons are being offered to the community for those aged 3-17. Spots are limited and registration is required.

Levels Offered:
Pre-School Aquatics - Level 1: Helps participants feel comfortable in the water and enjoy the water safely.
Pre-School Aquatics - Level 2: Builds on the skills learned in Level 1 and gives participants success with fundamental skills, such as floating and basic locomotion.
Level 1 - Introduction to Water Skills: Helps participants feel comfortable in the water
Level 2 - Fundamental Aquatic Skills: Gives participants success with fundamental skills
Level 3 - Stroke Development: Builds on skills in Level 2 through additional guided practice in deeper waters
