  • City Expands Harte Library Operating Hours Following Public Feedback

    In response to feedback gathered from community residents at a recent Joint Town Hall meeting, the City of Corpus Christi, in partnership with the Flour Bluff Independent School District (FBISD), is expanding operating hours at the Janet F. Harte Library. These changes will take effect on Monday, September 15.

  • Council Approves Construction Contract for NAS-Corpus Christi Fence Project

    At today’s regularly scheduled City Council meeting, Mayor Paulette Guajardo and Council awarded a $1,022,900 construction contract to Fencing Unlimited, LLC of West Monroe, Louisiana, for a perimeter fencing project at NAS Corpus Christi (NASCC).

  • City Council Receives Briefing on Water Reuse Partnership Opportunity

    At today's regularly scheduled City Council meeting, Mayor Paulette Guajardo and the Council received a briefing on a potential water reuse partnership that could add 11 to 16 million gallons of water per day to the City’s current portfolio. Gulf Coast Authority (GCA) and engineering firm, Ardurra, presented a proposal to develop reclaimed water from the City’s Oso and Greenwood wastewater treatment plants. Reclaimed water is treated wastewater that has been cleansed to meet safety standards for reuse.

  • Work on Ocean Drive Upcoming

    Construction crews will be working in the 4400 block of Ocean Drive between Robert Drive and Airline Road, reducing southbound traffic to one lane.

  • La Retama Central Library to Host First Native American Event Series

    The Corpus Christi Public Libraries are launching a new series of programs celebrating Native American culture and traditions. The series begins on Sunday, September 21, and runs through Friday, November 21, at the La Retama Central Library, 805 Comanche Street.

  • Additional Free Pet Adoption Weekends at Animal Care Services

    Corpus Christi Animal Care Service (CCACS) announces additional fee-waived pet adoption weekends. CCACS continues to offer special weekends dedicated to finding loving homes for our beloved animals.
